Problem Note 58861: Non-ASCII data does not transcode correctly when remotely submitted from a SAS® client configured for UTF-8 to a SAS® Server configured for SBCS

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

An error might occur when you use SAS/CONNECT® software to transfer non-ASCII data from a UTF-8 client to a server configured for single-byte character set (SBCS) data (for example, from SAS UTF-8 to SAS English). Here is such an error message:

WARNING: Some code points did not transcode.

The characters cannot be transcoded correctly.

To work around this issue, use a SAS Server configured for UTF-8 instead of the Server configured for SBCS.
